Les belles plages

This tour shall be pleasing to lovers of ecotourism and promoters of sustainable tourism, because it leads us to the discovery of the Sassandra River with its mangroves. It is one of the best ecotourism sites in Côte d’Ivoire. Sassandra is the headquarter of the Gbôké Region. The Gbôké Region, together with the regions of Nawa and San Padro made up the District of Bas Sassandra.

With a population of 261 616 habitants (2014), the District of Bas Sassandra covers a superficies of 12 790 km². It is one of the richest districts of the country thanks to the port of San Pedro, which is the second of Côte d ‘Ivoire after that of Abidjan. The region is endowed with several competing beaches in which ecotourism and sustainable tourism practices are respected.

The preservation and valorization of the natural et social resources is the primary objective of tourism actors and the local populations.
