We shall start this tour with a visit to the Poro region, found within the Savannah District, very close to the border with Mali and Burkina Faso. This region is characterized by an enormous cultural, artisanal and agricultural richness, which shall greatly impress its visitors. Its population is mainly made up of the Malinké, Senufo and Fulani peoples, who live mainly from livestock and agriculture, particularly from cotton farming. The City of Korhogo, located some 635 km north of Abidjan, is the main interest of this trip. It is the fourth largest city in Ivory Coast in terms of population and the economy and is the headquarter of the District of Savannah and the Poro Region. The city has several interesting tourist sites that our guides will make sure that you uncover.

We shall discover the wonders of Korhogo such as the butter factories of Natiokobadara, the weavers villageWaraniene, the painters’ village of Fakaha, the blacksmiths village of Koni, the sacred rock of Chienleo, which is a place of pilgrimage, worship and sacrifice, the wood carvers of Tanguikaha, the artisanal center of Ugan, where handicrafts are exhibited, and the Kapélé village, where pearls are made. Pleasant and colorful festivals, cultural and traditional ceremonies equally await you. Once back in Abidjan, we will discover the Billionaires’ Bay, a neighborhood of fairy and luxurious residences that were built on Boulay Island.
Named “Beverly Hills” by locals, the bay is home to most of the population of the bourgeois class of Abidjan and has nothing to envy to the beaches of the Caribbean. It is a luxurious site that is far from the tumults of the city, and is suitable for a well-deserved rest.
